Chapman University
A private university founded in 1861 and anchored in Orange on a 90-acre campus, enrolling roughly ten thousand undergraduate and graduate students.

Chapman University was established on March 4, 1861, originally as Hesperian College before becoming Chapman University. Its main campus occupies 90 acres in Orange, with a second campus in Irvine for the Rinker Health Science division and the School of Pharmacy. The university enrolls approximately 10,000 students across programs in business, engineering, film, law, liberal arts, education and health sciences, supported by a faculty committed to personalized education and hands-on learning.
Chapman ranks 110th among top-tier universities according to U.S. News & World Report and awarded more than 140 undergraduate and graduate degrees. The campus sits in the city itself, making Chapman part of Orange's economic and social fabric; the university is one of the city's major employers and draws both students and faculty to the community. The institution emphasizes mentorship and small class sizes, building strong relationships between students, faculty and the neighborhoods they inhabit.
A family with a student at Chapman or an employee there is planning a different kind of future than one without. Life insurance early in a career—perhaps while raising children and supporting education—is often the least expensive to purchase, and locks the benefit in place for the years when dependents are building their own stability.
